(National Service Scheme-NSS) राष्ट्र की युवाशक्ित के व्यक्तित्व विकास हेतु युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय भारत सरकार द्वारा संचालित एक सक्रिय कार्यक्रम है।[1] इसके गतिविधियों में भाग लेने वाले विद्यार्थी, समाज के लोगों के साथ मिलकर समाज के हित के कार्य करते है। साक्षरता संबंधी कार्य, पर्यावरण सुरक्षा, स्वास्थ्य एवं सफाई आपातकालीन या प्राकृतिक आपदा के समय पीड़ीत लोगों की सहायता आदि। विद्यार्थी जीवन से ही समाजपयोगी कार्यों में रत रहने से उनमें समाज सेवा या राष्ट्र सेवा के गुणो का विकास होता है।
